The GOETE consortium brings together a unique combination of expertise which creates new links between knowledge and experiences developed in research fields which until now have largely been divided along disciplinary lines although being mutually related. It therefore can be seen as a relevant element of the European Research Area. A part of the consortium has benefited from a history of collaborating within the EGRIS network (European Group for Integrated Research) which is concerned with the ongoing changes in transitions from education to employment and the emergence of new life courses of young adults.
